Tour de France

For some reason, I really got into watching the Tour de France this year. I really enjoyed watching the different portions of the race and learning about how it is run. I've never really paid much attention to it until this year.

Another reason I enjoyed the Tour so much this year, was that I was able to see a lot of the European countryside. The villages and towns that the cyclists get to ride through is breathtaking and makes me want to plan my trip to Europe even more. Here are a few pictures I found of this year's tour.

I love how in the first one Contador looks like he knows that he is going to win!

If you haven't seen this video yet, then you're in for a treat. I saw it this morning while watching the Today Show and just had to share it. Have a great weekend!

French Afternoon Tea, Wedding Reception

I recently came across a great website called Utterly Engaged. I love this website because they have an e-magazine that come out every month. In the second issue I found a wedding reception that was french and had an afternoon tea theme (very close to my heart!). Here are some images from that reception. I love how they use the old, vintage glassware and bottles to display the sweets and flowers. Enjoy!

The Edge of Love

Sorry I've been MIA lately! It's just been so busy at work and such, that by the time I get home in the evenings, I haven't had much time to post.

I am excited because my copy of The Edge of Love finally came in the mail yesterday. Can't wait to go home tonight and watch it! My favorites Keira Knightley and Cillian Murphy are in it. YAY!

Julia Child Article

This is a great article I just found on Julia Child in this month's Vanity Fair. With the movie Julie & Julia coming out next month, what a great tribute to America's favorite chef. Bon Appetit!

Smith & Hawken Closing

I was saddened to read yesterday that Smith & Hawken, my favorite gardening store, is closing. I love walking around the store, wishing I had a huge yard to fill with all of the wonderful items and plants that they offer. I guess the silver lining is that they will be having HUGE sales in the coming months to get rid of everything. I'll start saving my money now!

I've always loved the look of Burberry's clothes and I especially love them now that they've got Emma Watson as their cover girl. Like I've said before, she's got amazing style and I think they picked the perfect person as their new face.

Sorry for the Emma obsession as of late! Pictures via Burberry.

My Completed Office

Now that the holiday is over and we are back from our trip to IKEA, I have finally gotten my home office put in order. All I needed was a bookshelf and drawer unit to complete my room. Below are a few shots of the completed office. Enjoy!

IKEA Trip to Atlanta

Tomorrow I leave for Atlanta with my mom and brother on an IKEA shopping trip! We are all very excited because it's been a while since we have been to IKEA. The last time we went, my brother had a sprained and swollen ankle, so we're hoping this will be a better experience for him. Here are some of the things on my list to purchase!
